Richard Goodwin

I am Richard the pharmacist for the children and young people health partnership (CYPHP). I work closely with CYPHP doctors and nurses, and may come and visit you to discuss medicines. My aim is to ensure that you know what medicines you take, why we would like you to take them and to ensure that they work for you.

My role involves working with other healthcare professionals and interested parties to support the appropriate use of medicines in children with asthma, constipation, eczema and epilepsy across Lambeth and Southwark.

As such I advocate for an increased recognition of medicines use in children and young people. I advise and sit on many committees locally and nationally including the South East London Responsible Respiratory Prescribing Committee, Healthy London Partnership along with co-chairing the paediatric and neonatal pharmacists group for the London region.

Wider professional interests include; clinical education especially with regards to how to support and empower generalists in providing paediatric care. Along with developing and evaluating the use of digital and technology products to support patient care and healthcare professionals development.

2010-2013: Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice- University College London
2005-2010: Masters of Pharmacy - University of Bradford

  • Clinical education to support generalists provide paediatric care
  • The use of digital technologies to healthcare and self-care.
